This assignment challenged us to recreate a furniture piece from an architect we learned about in our history class. I chose the Bauhaus Chess set, originally designed by Josef Hartwig for the Leipzig World Fair in 1924. The chess pieces are shaped to represent the way that they move across the board, giving a modern and unique feel to the chess set.
